Abigail Cudjoe has emerged as the Overall Best Graduating Student at the Chartered Institute of Taxation, Ghana (CITG) graduation ceremony, held on May 30, 2026. The event, hosted at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), recognized the successful candidates of the February 2026 professional examinations. Ms. Cudjoe’s top honor was accompanied by individual subject awards in Advanced Taxation and Practice, as well as a joint award for Tax Administration and Ethics, which she shared with Abraham Gozah. Her performance at the CITG follows a history of academic excellence, as she was previously named the National Overall Best Graduating Chartered Accountant in March 2024.
The ceremony highlighted exceptional talent across twelve specialized taxation fields, with MSL Business School students dominating the honors list by securing six paper awards. Notable subject winners included Emmanuel Abakah, who received distinctions in both Indirect Taxation and Strategy and Governance, and Amos Teye, who was recognized for Public Sector Finance and Economics. Other awardees included Rosemond Asamoah Mensah for Income Taxation, Nurudeen Sulemana for Accounting and Finance, Philip Manu for Revenue and Business Law, and Sylvanus Akutam for Tax Audit and Special Investigation. The achievements of these graduates were lauded by Michael Siaw Larbi, founder of MSL Business School, who expressed immense pride in the students' dedication and the school's role in their preparation.
Beyond individual accolades, the graduation served as a platform to celebrate the collective resilience of the entire graduating class. Specialized awards were also presented to Vincent Kudzordzi for Oil, Gas, and Other Minerals Taxation, Richard Sasu for International Taxation, and Eric Ofosu for Strategic Tax Planning. The CITG emphasized that these newly qualified professionals are entering the workforce at a pivotal time for Ghana’s revenue mobilization efforts. The institute urged the graduates to maintain the highest ethical standards and utilize their expertise to navigate the complexities of modern taxation, ensuring they contribute effectively to national economic development.
