African Most Beautiful USA Queen Ama Kwakye to Host Community Wellness Event in Accra

Ms. Ama Kwakye, the reigning African Most Beautiful USA Queen, is set to lead a significant community wellness initiative in Accra on October 3, 2026. The Ghanaian-American entrepreneur and certified Zumba instructor will host "Zumba with Ama," a free community session designed to encourage fitness, mental health, and social connection. The day's activities are scheduled to begin with a high-energy five-kilometre run starting at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, serving as a precursor to the main dance event held at the Dansoman Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

As the founder of the wellness brand AmaKaye, Kwakye is leveraging her international platform to advocate for healthier lifestyles across Ghana. The event aims to create an inclusive environment where music and movement serve as essential tools for physical and mental well-being. By combining entertainment with rigorous physical exercise, Kwakye hopes to provide participants with a constructive way to manage stress while strengthening community bonds. She has frequently emphasized her guiding philosophy, "Workouts Heal You," positioning the upcoming session as a holistic wellness experience rather than a simple fitness class.

The initiative specifically targets women and the youth, groups that Kwakye believes can benefit most from incorporating regular physical activity into their daily routines. This visit represents a significant moment for the beauty queen as she seeks to reconnect with her roots and inspire positive, lasting lifestyle changes. Beyond the immediate health benefits, the event is expected to foster a spirit of camaraderie among Accra residents, demonstrating how fun and health can be seamlessly integrated into a vibrant social setting for the betterment of the community.
