In a landmark decision during an Asanteman Traditional Council meeting on July 27, 2026, the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, destooled Nana Kwabena Nsia Ababio, the Paramount Chief of Kenyase No. 2. The removal of Nana Ababio is particularly significant as he was recognized as the longest-reigning Paramount Chief in Asanteman, having served for approximately 89 years since his enstoolment in 1937.
