Farouk Aliu Mahama donates 100kVA transformer to Nayilifong

Alhaji Farouk Aliu Mahama, the former Member of Parliament for Yendi, has donated a new 100kVA electricity transformer to the Nayilifong community to address persistent power challenges in the area. The equipment, which arrived on October 6, is expected to provide a permanent solution to the erratic electricity supply that has plagued residents for several months. This intervention comes as a significant relief to the neighbourhood, where frequent outages had disrupted both domestic life and commercial productivity. The donation has been received with widespread enthusiasm and celebration by the residents of Nayilifong. Community members expressed their gratitude to the former lawmaker, praising him for his dedication to their welfare despite his recent electoral loss in the 2024 parliamentary elections. This gesture is seen as a fulfillment of his ongoing commitment to the development of the constituency and a testament to his continued support for infrastructure improvements in the Yendi area regardless of his current political standing. With the installation of the 100kVA transformer, electricity access in Nayilifong is set to stabilize, providing a more reliable environment for local businesses to thrive. Small-scale enterprises, including artisans and traders who depend on consistent power, are expected to see a boost in their daily operations. Community leaders noted that this improvement in the local grid will not only enhance the quality of life for residents but also contribute to the overall economic growth of the district by ensuring that essential services are no longer interrupted by technical failures.
