Fidelity Bank Ghana has inaugurated the final project of its Orange Impact Initiative at the Ogome Anglican Basic School, marking the successful completion of a nationwide commitment to improve educational infrastructure. This project represents the 15th school to be renovated or built under the initiative, which was launched in 2022 to commemorate the bank’s 15th anniversary. By focusing on underserved communities, the bank has sought to address critical gaps in the country's basic education sector and provide students with modern, safe, and conducive learning environments.
The upgrades at Ogome Anglican Basic School include the construction of new classrooms, a dedicated library, and improved sanitation facilities. These additions are part of a broader effort to ensure that schools in rural areas have the resources necessary to support quality teaching and learning. Throughout the entire Orange Impact Initiative, Fidelity Bank has reached a total of 5,577 students across 15 different schools, providing them with enhanced facilities that were previously dilapidated or insufficient for the growing student population.
Following the conclusion of this education-focused program, Fidelity Bank has announced its next phase of community-driven development. As the institution approaches its 20th anniversary, it plans to pivot its corporate social responsibility efforts toward the healthcare sector by installing solar power systems in 20 community hospitals. This move aims to support sustainable energy solutions and improve the reliability of healthcare services in regions with inconsistent power supply, continuing the bank's trend of targeted social investment.
