The Gabeulah Network Foundation has presented a suite of teaching and learning materials to Frankadua D/A Junior High School in the Eastern Region to boost literacy and digital education. The donation, which comprises a photocopy machine, a projector, and hundreds of reading books, is part of the foundation's broader initiative to support schools in rural Ghanaian communities that often lack essential Information and Communication Technology (ICT) infrastructure. This intervention seeks to address the resource gap that frequently hinders academic performance in rural settings.
Speaking during the presentation, Rev. Gabline Awurama Beulah, the founder of the Gabeulah Network Foundation, emphasized the organisation's dedication to improving the quality of both education and healthcare in underserved areas. She noted that providing schools with modern tools like projectors is crucial for bridging the digital divide and ensuring that students in rural areas are not left behind in an increasingly technology-driven world. The donation of reading books is specifically intended to foster a stronger culture of literacy and critical thinking among the student body.
Receiving the items, Harrison Mompi, the Headmaster of Frankadua D/A Junior High School, expressed his profound gratitude to the foundation for the timely gesture. He highlighted that the equipment, particularly the photocopy machine and projector, would significantly enhance the school’s administrative efficiency and classroom instruction. According to the headmaster, these tools will allow for more interactive lessons and reduce the burden of manual resource preparation, ultimately creating a more conducive learning environment for the pupils.
