Henry Nana Boakye Pledges Completion of 30-Bed Tafo Children’s Hospital by Year-End

Henry Nana Boakye, the National Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has announced that the construction of a new 30-bed children’s hospital at the Tafo Government Hospital is currently 85% complete. The project, which has been under development for five years, is expected to be commissioned before the end of this year. This initiative represents a significant expansion of pediatric healthcare services for the Tafo community and surrounding areas, specifically designed to address long-standing inadequacies in the hospital's existing medical facilities.

Commonly known as "Nana B," Boakye launched the ambitious project on the eve of his 40th birthday, motivated by the dilapidated and poor state of the hospital's former Children’s Ward. Over the past half-decade, the construction has progressed steadily, transitioning from a conceptual pledge into a nearly finished modern medical facility. Nana B emphasized that the initiative was born out of a desire to improve specialized care for children rather than a search for personal political recognition, noting that the project is intended to be a legacy of compassion and community service.

The timing of the project’s completion holds deep personal significance for the NPP official, as he aims to see the facility fully operational in alignment with his 45th birthday celebrations.
