In a closely contested Championship Round 23 match, Jordan Ayew provided a crucial assist for Leicester City, contributing to their early lead against Watford. Ayew's precise pass set up Jordan James, who scored the opener in the seventh minute. However, Leicester's advantage was short-lived as Watford equalized before halftime and ultimately secured a 2-1 victory with a second-half goal from Mattie Pollock. Despite playing the full match, Ayew struggled to make a significant impact beyond his assist, as Leicester City faced a disappointing defeat at home.
