Black Stars head coach Otto Addo recently visited defender Mohammed Salisu in France to offer encouragement as he recovers from a significant ACL injury. This injury has ruled Salisu out for the remainder of the season and raises concerns about his availability for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup. Prior to his injury, Salisu had been a vital player for AS Monaco, making 12 appearances this season. Addo's visit underscores his commitment to supporting injured players, as he has also reached out to others facing similar challenges. The final squad for the World Cup is set to be announced on June 1, and Salisu's recovery will be closely monitored as the date approaches.
