Raheem Sterling has officially left Chelsea by mutual consent, terminating his contract with 18 months remaining. The 31-year-old forward joined Chelsea from Manchester City in 2022 for £47.5 million and has made 81 appearances, scoring 19 goals during his tenure. His last competitive match was in May 2024, and he had been training separately with Chelsea's second team in recent months after failing to secure a transfer. Despite interest from clubs such as Juventus and Bayer Leverkusen, Sterling is eager to remain in London. His time at Chelsea was marked by several managerial changes that impacted his playing time, culminating in a loan to Arsenal during the 2024/25 season, where he had limited appearances. Throughout his career, Sterling has won numerous titles, including five Premier League championships, solidifying his reputation as a successful player in the league.
