In a recent episode of Let’s Talk on Joy Prime, Reverend Daniel Annan, the Resident Pastor of the Universal Gospel Centre, advised young people to focus on trust, wisdom, and shared values rather than love alone when contemplating marriage. He criticized contemporary interpretations of love, which he believes foster unrealistic expectations and pressures. Annan stressed the importance of financial security and personal values such as honesty and reliability for a successful partnership. Additionally, Counsellor Perfect, who joined the discussion, encouraged women to invest in their personal growth and financial independence during their singlehood. He also called on parents to ease financial demands in marriage lists to alleviate the pressure on men, promoting a more balanced approach to marriage preparations.
