Rute Cardoso, the widow of footballer Diogo Jota, has expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Liverpool fans for their overwhelming support following the tragic death of her husband in a car crash in July. Jota, a 28-year-old forward, died alongside his brother when their Lamborghini crashed and caught fire in Zamora, Spain. In a touching tribute during a recent match against Wolves, Jota's sons, Dinis and Duarte, led the Liverpool team onto the pitch, while a banner reading "Diogo Jota, forever in our hearts" was displayed in the stands. Jota, who scored 65 goals in 182 appearances for Liverpool and played a significant role in the club's success, had his number 20 shirt retired in his honor. Cardoso's Instagram post highlighted the love and support from the club and its fans during this difficult time, showcasing the deep impact Jota had on the Liverpool community.
