US federal authorities have transferred Sean "Diddy" Combs from the Fort Dix correctional facility in New Jersey to FCI Allenwood Low in Pennsylvania. The US Federal Bureau of Prisons confirmed the relocation, citing "safety and security reasons" for the move but declining to provide specific details regarding the decision. Combs’ spokesperson highlighted that the transition involved enhanced safety measures for the artist during his relocation to the new site. The transfer follows recent speculation regarding the musician's wellbeing while in custody. Prison officials have specifically addressed and denied reports claiming that Combs was involved in a physical altercation with another inmate that resulted in a head injury. A spokesperson for the Bureau of Prisons stated that accounts of such a fight were false, though they did not elaborate on his general medical condition. The move to FCI Allenwood Low places Combs in a facility with a significantly smaller inmate population than the New Jersey prison where he was previously held. Combs is currently serving a 50-month sentence following a July 2025 conviction for prostitution-related crimes. Federal prosecutors previously alleged that the entertainer coerced women into unwanted sexual encounters, leading to his legal downfall. While he is currently appealing the conviction, his scheduled release date is set for March 2, 2028. The move is viewed as a strategic adjustment by authorities to ensure his safety during his ongoing incarceration.
