Ghana international Thomas Partey is set to leave Villarreal this summer as his contract expires on June 30, 2026. The midfielder has struggled to secure a regular starting position under head coach Marcelino, making only 18 appearances and totaling 943 minutes since joining from Arsenal. Reports indicate that Partey is not part of the club's long-term plans, prompting his expected exit. This decision is influenced by a shift in the club's midfield strategy and financial considerations regarding Partey's high wages, with his current market value estimated at 5 million euros. As he approaches the later stages of his career, Partey will need to seek new opportunities in the transfer market.
