Zinabu Issah Claims Ghana’s First Medal at Glasgow 2026 with Historic Para-Athletics Silver

Ghanaian para-athlete Zinabu Issah has made history at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, clinching a silver medal in the Women’s F57 Shot Put. Attention now shifts to the track, where fellow para-athlete Hayford Addai is set to compete in the Men’s T47 100-meter final. Addai, who recently secured a gold medal at the Dubai World Para Athletics Grand Prix, enters the race as a strong contender for the podium. However, the competition remains stiff, with India's Mohammed Basil Morssinganakath and Dilip Mahadu Gavit identified as the primary favorites. Analysts suggest that if Addai can produce a personal best near the 11.00-second mark, he stands a significant chance of adding to Ghana's medal tally in what is expected to be one of the fastest races in the event's history.
