Philibert Selorm Fummey, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Nsawam-Adoagyiri, has officially commissioned a new ultra-modern police station in Adoagyiri. The facility is designed to significantly enhance security operations and law enforcement presence within the municipality. The commissioning ceremony was a joint effort between the local assembly and the Ghana Police Service, represented by the Eastern South Police Commander, DCOP Charles Kofi Adu, who joined the MCE to unveil the project.
The new station is intended to improve police response times and visibility in the Adoagyiri area, addressing the security needs of a growing population. As an ultra-modern facility, it provides the necessary infrastructure for officers to conduct their duties more effectively, serving as a focal point for maintaining law and order. The project is expected to deter criminal activities by ensuring that security personnel are more accessible to residents and business owners in the community.
Speaking during the event, officials emphasized that the establishment of the station is a critical step in fostering a safer environment for economic and social activities. The Nsawam-Adoagyiri Municipal Assembly indicated that prioritizing security infrastructure remains a key part of its development agenda. Residents have been urged to support the police personnel at the new station through cooperation and information sharing to ensure the continued protection of lives and property in the region.
